Question about "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" for PSP, about multiplayer vs. single player?

if u are fighting the same monster in multiplayer as in single player, for example a yain kut ku in single player vs. a yain kut ku in multiplayer, would they have the same difficultly or are the multiplayer monster harder and single player easier
