Why the hesitancy in attacking Iran?

Then what happens? the middle east will end up in total war.Oil will be cut off,the result would be catastrophic,with Russia and China getting involved.Iran's government is shaky anyway it's own people may it bring down,this probably would have happened in Iraq but we had to go in Gung ho style.
