Engine will not turn over; radio, lights, windows all work fine?

2003 Chev Silverado, replaced battery, starter tested ok; this only happens when the truck has been driven 30+ minutes; battery connection was loose at one point but tighted and cable seems snug; no sound at all when key is turned (other than radio / A/C)
