The Title of A Movie...?

So, I'm wondering what the title of a certain movie is, but have tried endlessly through Google, etc. for answers. I know that it is an older movie about a woman who loses her daughter either in a car crash or storm, and she finds herself in a secluded society where women are born and raised to serve as surrogate mothers for women of other couples who cannnot conceive. In this film, to do so, the women have with the husbands or males in the relationship, and then continues with the pregnancy with that man's child. In the movie, the main character becomes the surrogate for i guess you could say the masters or rulers of this society, but the husband ends up liking her and starts treating her well by giving her soaps and taking her out into the real world. In the meanwhile, she is having an affair with another boy in the society. In this society, cheating and having for any reasons besides surrogation is punished by death, and the people hanged. It is a strange, strange movie, so if you know of it, you will definitely know it.
