What breed of dog should I get?

I live in Florida,where its really hot most of the time.There has been some burglaries in my neighborhood, so I want a dog not too agressive,but can at least bark if theres a robber.Dont say in an answer that "dogs only bite burglars in movies" and stuff like that cuz I will report you because thats all people said in the answer last time I asked this question.I want a medium sized dog,one that may not get too big,but not too small.I want one that will not shed a lot of hair,because my dad will get angry.I go to school from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM but mostly to 8 PM because I have to go to my dads shop,but I might be able to stop home and bring him with me to my dads shop.I would be willing to take him on 2 walks a day,tkae him to the dog park 2 times a week,problly get him for a check up from the vet 2 times every 6 months,and I want one that is able to be trained to ride in a car without a crate.Hope that was enough information! :)
