An argument between my dad and I?

Last night, my little sister, dad, and I had a discussion about the role of women. Both my sister and my dad believe God meant for women to stay at home, cook, clean, and watch the kids, if they have any. I got angry and said that women should be able to have a career. He said no, that women were not created for that role. I didn't talk to him for the rest of the night. He thinks its disrespectful for me to disagree with him so bluntly. Was I, in your opinion? I am 19 by the way.
